OUR STORY
New World Natural Foods was founded by the Bagga Brothers who began manufacturing
delicious health food products in a small bakery behind the store front
of Sweet Cherubim natural foods over 28 years ago. Ahead of the times,
their aim was to simply provide local, organic and natural products to
the health and environmentally conscious consumers in Vancouver, BC and
surrounding areas. To meet the needs of the growing market in 2005 the
company moved to a state of the art manufacturing plant in Burnaby BC.
Today New World Natural Foods manufactures over 100 certified organic & natural
food items in the categories of breakfast and snacks.
Our products include New world ™ confections, whole grain granola,
muesli and nut butters, New World natural foods’ products are widely
distributed throughout BC, Ontario, Quebec and are quickly making their
way into other parts of Canada. Prominent retailers such as Whole Foods,
Planet Organic, Natures Fare etc. proudly carry New World brand.
HEALTHY NEW WORLD
At New World, we create DELICIOUSLY healthy everyday food items that
promote the long term health of consumers.
New World products mean: no irradiation,
no colorings, no refined sugars, no genetically engineered ingredients,
and nutritious foods for the health and environmentally conscious consumers.
By sourcing high quality organic and natural ingredients, New World
ensures nothing extra needs to be added during processing.
Through natural processing methods, New World is able to retain the natural
flavors of the selected whole ingredients used in the products. For this
reason, the rich flavor of New World products is not dependant on excessive
amounts of sugar or salt. The result is high
quality foods that are free of artificial food coloring, flavoring, stabilizers,
synthetic preservatives and genetically modified ingredients.
Based on current trends and research within the industry, the developments
of New World Organic & Natural Products emphasize quality, taste,
health, fun and convenience.
In promoting a healthy life style, all New World products are vegetarian and
a majority is Vegan. This means our food production processing facilities omit
the use of all animal products, with the exception of honey. Due to concern
for allergies many of the products are wheat free.
SUSTAINABLE NEW WORLD
Due to concerns for the environment and quality, At New World we strive
to source the ingredients as locally as possible. New World products
are packaged in recyclable glass and plastic while keeping the product
to package ratio high. This not only reduces our carbon foot print
but also keeps our foods fresh, healthy and enjoyable. New World confections
are packaged in a biodegradable natural container made from corn.
CERTIFICATIONS AND MEMBERSHIPS
New World organic products are certified organic (QAI) by Quality Assurance
International and all products are manufactured in a facility certified
Kosher (BCK) by the Orthodox Rabbinical Council of British Colombia.
